Bug's Preschool Graduation!

After his graduation!

Aiden Jay and his teacher Miss. Jessika
Little man mad it threw year two of preschool! This fall will be pre-k. He has been attending a program in the local school district that has had him attending since shortly after his third birthday. The district has a program where they mix the special ed kids with the mainstream preschoolers. This has helped tremendously to get closer to his age level.
When he started in September he was so behind in his language and now he is becoming easier and easier to understand. I'm so proud of you Bug!

Church clothes for the Kiddos

So my BFF from high school who I refer to as my Sissy recently joined the church. She has three little girls and one boy. So the girls had a few dresses and could pass things down to one another but poor Aiden  had nothing. None of the kids had dress shoes either so I got sizes from Sissy and went out on a mission to find church clothes for Aiden and shoes for them all. She is a single mother and working a part time job so its hard for her to get the things she needs for the kiddos.
I got these for H at the local DI for 3 bucks.
They'll be great with her checkered dress above.

Abby's shoes cost me 2 bucks at the DI.
The cherry dress with bloomers above are for her too.

These cute shoes cost me 2 bucks!
They're for miss Charlie along with the cute tan dress above.

Aiden's shoes were a steal! We bought them brand new from JCP for 3.75...
I got him the flip flops to go with the summer clothes Heidi and I got him they were 2 bucks
So mom and I headed to JC Penny's at the district to see if we could find Aiden some church clothes. We found the adorable suit above on sale for 18.50. By the time we figured in all the discounts we got him a suit set for 14 bucks and shoes for 3.75! They were originally 5 marked down from 30. I picked him up some corduroys and a polo at the DI for 4 bucks together. With the girls shoes and dresses I only spent 24 dollars. I'm excited to see their faces when they see their new shoes and clothes!

Happy Family

Katie is one of my best friends from high school. We met in tenth grade and have been friends ever since. In May of 2008 she text me telling me she was pregnant. She was living with the baby's father but wasn't married yet. She told me if I didn't want to be her friend anymore she understood why. I text her back congratulations and asked when she was due. From that point on we became more than just friends we became family.
Since then I've welcomed four little girls and one sweet boy into my heart. This past Fall Katie became a single mother and was left with out a job and alone with four children under the age of six. The church stepped in and helped her put food on the table and get the necessities for her and her beautiful children. She started taking the missionary discussions and phoned me while I was attending school in march about possibly being baptized. There was only one problem. Her fear of water.
Finally after my graduation I received a text asking me what I was doing May 18. I replied nothing and she sent would you like to see me get baptized? I was ecstatic! I instantly told my whole family and we decided to all go to support Katie. That day to make the preparation a bit easier I took Aiden and Charlie with me to get them ready at Auntie Shan's house. We met Katie at the stake center with my family in tow. It was a beautiful ceremony and I'm so proud of Sissy.

Mother"s Day

So Heidi and I bought tickets to take mom to Threads Easter weekend. All we told mom is that she had to be ready by 5 pm on the 11th of May so we could go out. We took her to Litza's Pizza, which is her favorite and then headed to Cottonwood High to see the show! We had a great time and enjoyed saying hi to Michael and his family after the show. When we got home Phil had a beautiful basket of flowers for mom on the kitchen  table with loads of things she could replant in the yard.
It was a great weekend with family and loved ones. We surprised Katie by taking her over a vase of flowers and a dress. We also dropped off some much needed clothes for bug. The problem with being the only boy is you  can't wear your siblings hand-me-downs. So Heidi and I went and bought him some shorts and shirts and gave them to Katie along with an outfit for each girl. She was tickled to get flowers on mother's day.

Moving....

This is so how I felt upon returning to my parents house after two years in Ogden. I had to downsize leaving my bigger room and bringing not only all my stuff back but kitchen and bathroom stuff as well. I came home to find all my stuff that I thought was in the garage to make it easier to move my furniture all in my room with a small path to my loft bed...
So to organize my room to get everything to fit this chickadee played life size tetras. I had to take my bedroom door off in order to get the couch out and would have to move boxes to a corner to move the furniture to the desired spot. After 4 days its finally looking like a room. Now on to job hunting...
