Reeko

So being in an apartment pets are a huge no no. So when I came home Sunday evening I met our new pet/mascot... Meet Reeko. Hails parents sold their cabin and their dear Reeko was going to be homeless. He's the perfect pet. He doesn't make a mess and he definitely has the creepy factor. If you're wondering he is a real raccoon who made a visit with a taxidermist and lost. He he we are partial and he's great conversation starter! Welcome to our crazy home Reeko!!!

Week Thirteen

I can't believe we're already discussing finals! This week we  only met once for my Critical Lit class do to the state holiday. We got back our midterms and discussed them a bit. I did alright. The definitions of the different approaches really stumped me. I had a hard time explaining what I thought they meant and how they  contributed to our understanding of the literature. So I passed my midterm just feel like I really need to try to understand the terms for the final in a few weeks. I'm hoping she makes it a take home! On the plus part I aced the essay section of the test! I was proud of myself considering that we did it on a word bubble for a book I'd never read.
  Thinking about School starting up in about four weeks makes me panic just a bit. Fall is going to be crazy busy! I have 15 credits and have to work on my requirements to graduate in the Spring. I plan on staying on at union station unless I get to overwhelmed. My roomie Paige and I are hoping to do a few fun things before our busy Fall semester starts up! So Fun spontaneous pictures to come! 

Week Twelve

I can't believe the last full week of July is next week. School is going well. I enjoy this class much more then my last one even if the subject makes my brain scramble. We had are first big test this week. The professor gave us three days to take our test. I had to work all three days so I went before work at 7:45 am today. It was nice to be in the testing center by myself. Then I headed to work.
  All this week I've been reading about Feminism and Marxism. Then I spent most of Tuesday night making a study guide with all eight forms of criticism that would be on the test. I hope I did well.

Happy Three Months Bee!

Happy three months Charlotte Shannon! You've had a crazy twelve weeks life giving us all a scare with the RSV and Bronchitis at three weeks old. We are proud of your strong Newman genes  that got you through those rough weeks.

Even when you were sick you managed to smile at everyone! Such a sweet, happy little Bee. And a few weeks after you came home we did your first photo shoot. You were so good!

So in the end of May I had one of my Photography friends take some pictures of me. Being a photography minor I am picky about how I look in pictures. She excelled above and beyond. Kaylee thank you so much!

She did a great job at catching my personality and I loved getting my pictures taken. Which face it I usually hate!

Week Eleven

I cannot believe how busy this week has been. Since I was on vacation last week I've had to work the last five days including after my classes. I'm use to having a bit of time off. Tuesday I had to argue my point for the book Ethan Frome. I made it up on the spot. Thankfully I was able to watch a few others do theirs first.
Today we got out a little early so I went and sat on the benches at the social science building and ate my lunch. I could stare at those mountains all day. Except I had to be to work by 2. Tomorrow Davy and Boo are going to meet me at my work and then I'll make em dinner. I'm excited to spend time with my favorite people this weekend. Nothing beats family time.

So we didn't leave Vegas until close to 3:30. We drove pretty much straight to San Diego arriving around 9:30 pm. The hotel was nice and you could see the harbor from the parking lot. We were all asleep before midnight because we knew Friday would be a long day at Sea World!!!!
