Christmas

Christmas is usually full of snarky remarks and loads of sarcasm at my parents house. Although with everyone growing up the Beverley household was rather quiet Christmas morn. We did our usual Christmas eve party with dad's family and because of the bowling alley closing yet another hour earlier this year half of our rambunctious family didn't get to play.
  we opened gifts with Davy and Becca Christmas eve because they went to her momma's house for Christmas. I enjoyed watching them open gifts and be together as a family as I watched them create new lasting traditions. Christmas morning consisted of mom, dad, Kman, Heidi and I. We ate our traditional hot breakfast and opened gifts.
As the ham cooked we enjoyed movies and the simple pleasure of each others company. It seemed weird how our Christmases had changed over the years. Simple was best and family time was simple and lovely. Love my crazy family!

Forgotten Carols

Heidi and I have a beautiful tradition of going to see the Forgotten Carols every holiday season. We decided this year to make it a girls night out. We bought 7 tickets and called Mama Val, Mom, Becca, April, and Lacey to keep the evening of the 20th clear. Heidi and I found some beautiful ornaments at days and made everyone a tiny stocking. We went to eat at Pizza Pie Café (which by the way has a gf option)
 We had wonderful seats and thoroughly enjoyed the show. Michael has a way of making you laugh, cry, and be grateful all in one night. The story allows us to see the true meaning of the season through a beautiful play with music composed by the very talented Michael McLean.

Happy Birthday Hoho

Happy Birthday sister! It was amazing to see how loved you are by the community and kiddos at the school. I hope this year brings lots of good memories and adventures.
