Short Week....

You would think a short week would mean an easy week leading to a nice long weekend... well it started with sending a child home with an infectious rash and ended with getting puked on. Tis the season for the germs. I just keep thinking about four days of sleeping in and no dirty diapers.
somewhere in between I realized my constant itching was due to an ingredient in a product I was using. Need to be more diligent about label reading. All I can say is bring on the four day weekend!

Improvinators

So a few weeks ago Pickles mom told me about an improv show she had tickets to, and wondered if I'd like to go. Hoho was still healing so it was just Alesha and I. So I tagged along with her and the munchkins and got ready at her place. It was nice to get out of town for a bit.
The show didn't start until ten so we officially got lost and ended up calling her friend for help. I can't believe how much Daybreak has grown. The show was at a charter school and I ended up knowing quite a few people. We laughed until we cried. Then after the show went to village inn for pie. (I had a shake and fries) it was a simple mindless night. Exactly what I needed....

Pickle Bottom

This kid totally cracks me up. Its getting so we can only take the kids out in the afternoon since its heading into winter. Pickles loves to play outside with all the other kiddos. Just so happens that sand isn't the easiest to run in... her sister brought her to me looking like this and the teachers and I just laughed. We stopped for a brief picture and of course Pickles smiled. Got a special place in my heart for this kid and her siblings!

Look who's Thirty.....

So I kind of wanted to do something fun and exciting for the big 30... but this year has been a bit hectic. I moved to Heber last August to work as a title one aide at one of the elementary schools. I tried my darnedest to find work in Salt Lake but it just wasn't working out. I figured Heber City was a part time thing until I could find better work. Well in February I was offered a full-time job at my sister's school. I was torn but knew it was the right thing to do. I already knew the kids since I had been working there in the mornings and evenings.
I love the job and the kids and staff. When I moved in I struggled leaving my parents only for the sole purpose of my Father's health. I wanted to be there to help him but at the same time I knew I had to go where I could find work. Hoho had been struggling with her back pain for about six months when I moved in. I found myself helping her as much as she helped me. As we welcomed in 2014 we spent the months simply trying to function.
Before I knew it we were starting a new school year summer had zipped by and I found I'd sort of been in hiding. I'd missed events, birthdays, weddings, births and deaths. My sister and my job were my life. She finally had a surgery date set and truly by the time it was time to think about my birthday I had no desire. I truly just wanted to have a quiet stress free day with friends and family. So we planned a Dutch oven cookout for the first of November. It was rushed but nice to see my family. I'm thankful for my loving family and glad my momma was on the ball.
