Sissy Time

Peekaboo!

fluffy Shan
I love spending time with Sissy and the kiddos! Saturday we had a girls day and took H out to lunch at Applebee's and then did some shopping. H was so happy to be out with the big girls and to spend time with Mommy and Aunt Shannon. I've enjoyed spending time with all my favorite people!
Sunday I spent the night with Sissy and the kiddos. It was fun to be there with them in the morning and help them get ready for pictures. Aunt Shan took all their pictures and can't wait to show Sissy! I also got cuddles from all 4 of my favorite little kiddos!

Zoo Lights

My family likes to have fun. The Hogle Zoo has a tradition called zoo lights. Dad and I have wanted to go for years. So we gathered the family (David, Becca, and Kevin) and dad invited his sister Angela and we had a night out. We bundled up warm seeing how the zoo is in the mouth of Parley's Canyon making it cooler. We ate at Zupas first then went to the zoo. It was a crisp 22 degrees with a wind chill making it feel like 15! It had dumped a insane amount of snow over Christmas as the sidewalks were all covered in ice. Thankfully they had little warming lamps throughout the park. We ended in the cafe drinking hot cocoa. Despite the cool weather it was a great night!

Who doesn't enjoy making gingerbread houses? We got these kits at Walmart while we were out and about today. Girls against boys and ours turned out rather special. that's okay Colty bit the head off of one of their gingerbread men... So our family is a bit special. At least we had lots of fun.

To Vegas We Go....

So Heidi and I have been to Vegas on the fourth and a few other little holidays, but Kevin had the kiddos for Christmas and we knew we needed to come to visit. So she picked me up on the 20th and I spent the night in Heber. Hoho had to work on Friday so we didn't leave until around 5 pm.
We gain an hour once we cross into Nevada. So we arrived at 11:30 pm their time. the kiddos were all in bed so we brought our things in and settled in for our Christmas break with palm trees!

Afternoon with Miss Summer...

So I had a little visitor today for a few hours. Chandra needed to go to a meeting at work so Summer and I had a little play date. She hadn't seen me in a little bit so there were a few tears but then there was giggling, playing, and snacking. She started to get tired as it got closer to two. So I made her a bottle, sat her on my lap with a blanket and she feel asleep.

I enjoyed my little visitor. Especially since finals and classes are over for the year and I don't know what to do with myself!

Finished...

The last week in a half of Fall semester has been crazy. Because of my major the majority of my finals are presentations or papers. I had 3 of my 5 finals done by Friday the 7th. The weekend was spent writing my talk on Following Christ and writing my creative writing piece for my Philosophy of Lit class. After such a hectic semester it feels weird to be done until the 7th of January. I slept in this morning and spent the day deep cleaning my apartment. tomorrow I'm going to watch my cousin's little girl and head to my parents for the break. I can't believe I'll be starting my final semester at WSU in a little over 3 weeks. Here's to a fun break!!!

Christmas Village!!!!!

This one was done by WSU. It had an adorable story about Eddy the Elf going back to get his MBA at WSU.

I'm sad that this one turned out so blurry! It was absolutely amazing!
Ogden has this awesome tradition of Christmas Village. its a village of playhouse sized homes decorated for Christmas  as you walk around you look through the windows at each lite up scene. It ends with a beautiful manger scene. Paigy and I had finished our finals earlier that day and decided to celebrate with style.

It was loads of fun and we even got a little concert at the arena in the park. I can't believe I lived here over a year and never saw Christmas Village until now!
